Funky Foot

Tot’s roots in dance culture run deep. First shaped by synth-disco, soul, and the UK Acid Jazz movement, her presence on early dancefloors earned her the moniker Funky Foot during house music’s arrival in 1988.

Stepping behind the decks in 1994, Tot became a regular fixture in 1990s London nightlife, holding down residencies including A Match Made In Heaven at Camden Palace. On the airwaves, she spent years hosting In at the Deep End across legendary London pirate stations Pleasure FM and Point Blank FM, building a reputation for uncompromising deep house selections before taking time out around 2000 to raise a family.

Returning to active mixing and live dates in 2020, Tot now hosts The Funky Foot Sessions every Friday on Gold Dust Radio, and also on Twitch, marking her official return to radio after two decades. Her sets bridge past and present, combining deep and soulful house with foundational classics, new releases, and syncopated broken beats.
