Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026 (SNE Chat, performers who have not joined, gender, cookies and embeds added).

SNE Radio is a community radio and scene guide. We collect as little as we can to run it. This page says what we hold, why, who helps us hold it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

Listeners and followers

You do not need an account to listen. If you follow a DJ we store your email address, the DJs you follow and whether you asked for live alerts or a newsletter. If you open My SNE you can add your name, city, country and genre tastes. We use this only to send what you asked for. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can manage or remove follows at any time in My SNE.

SNE Chat

To chat while a DJ is live you give a chat name and an email address, then tap a link we email you. We use the email only to confirm it is yours and, if you tick the box, to tell you when that DJ goes live (you can unsubscribe in any of those emails). After you confirm, a cookie on your device lasts 90 days. It holds a scrambled version of your email (a hash) and your chat name, never the address itself. Your chat name and messages are shown to other viewers and kept for 60 days, then deleted. If a message or member is removed or muted by our team, we keep the scrambled email so that person cannot rejoin under the same address. To leave or delete your details, email us.

DJs, Local Selectors and promoters

If you have a login we hold your name, email, a hashed password, the profile you build (bio, photo, city, country, genres, social links, booking email, support link and tiers), your mixes, updates, charts, events and uploaded images, and when you last signed in. For streaming DJs we also hold your Twitch details needed to detect when you go live, and stream session statistics (times, viewer counts, category rank).

Gender is optional. We do not ask for it on sign-up forms: it is only ever set by our team (when we set up your page or in the admin), is never shown on the site, and is used for one thing, helping the DJs featured on the home page include a mix of people when we can. A DJ with no gender set is featured just as often as anyone else. Ask us and we will change or remove it.

You can download all of this from the Overview tab of your dashboard (Your data) and delete your account there too. Deleting removes your login, public page, mixes, updates, charts, events, images, schedule slot, stream history and your fan follow lists. Past show recordings and interviews you appear in stay in the archive without a link to your page; email us and we will remove those too.

Performers who have not joined

You do not need an account to appear on SNE Radio. If you play on our schedule, in a show or interview, or on an event line-up, we may hold your name, your Twitch channel (so we can show when you are live and embed your stream), your schedule slot, and the recordings, videos and event details you appear in. This comes from you, from the promoters and DJs who book or list you, from our own archive and from publicly posted event pages. Until you have a login the page we show for you is minimal: your name, your stream and when you are on.

We keep this to run the schedule and archive and to promote your sets. If you would rather not be listed, want something corrected, or want a recording or mention removed, email us and we will deal with it within one month. Removing a name from the schedule or a profile page is always possible; some archive items (such as an interview with other people in it) may be edited rather than deleted.

SNE Agency enquiries

If you send a booking enquiry through the SNE Agency page we keep your name, email, organisation, the event details and your message, and the artists you asked about. We use them to reply, to put you in touch with the artist and to run the booking, including follow-up emails about your enquiry, which we send through Brevo. If you tick the optional box we also send you occasional news about SNE Agency artists and tours, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We share the relevant details with the artists you ask about. We do not use them for marketing unless you tick that box. We keep an enquiry for up to two years after the last contact, then delete it; ask us sooner and we delete it straight away. Artists who sign up to the agency (as Associate or Represented) agree their profile is shown on the agency page and that booking enquiries for them are routed through us.

Labels and the record pool

Labels and artists who send promos give us a name, email, links and audio. We keep these to run the record pool and to give feedback. Ask us and we delete them.

Founding members

If you joined as a Founding Member we hold the email and details you gave us, to tell you about the launch.

Who handles data for us

We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers.

Cookies and measurement

We do not run advertising or analytics trackers. Embedded players from Twitch, YouTube and the others above are the only third-party content that can set cookies. For signed-in DJs and Team, if a page script fails we keep a short error note (time, page, browser and your account number) for the last 50 errors so it can be fixed.

We use a login cookie if you sign in, a cookie that keeps you signed in to My SNE on that device for 30 days if you ask for it (you can sign out any time), a small cookie remembering which DJ referred you so they get credit for a follow, a cookie remembering the city you chose (30 days), the SNE Chat cookie described above (90 days), temporary records that count requests from a scrambled version of your IP address or email so we can stop spam and abuse, and simple counts of page and stream views that are not tied to your identity.

How long we keep things

Followers stay until you unfollow. Accounts stay until you delete them or ask us to. Stream statistics are deleted with the account they belong to. Chat messages are deleted after 60 days. Details of performers who have not joined stay until they ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Account holders can do most of this themselves from the dashboard. For anything else, or if you are a follower and want everything removed, email us. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters we will update the date above and, for account holders, tell you by email.
