Marcel Vogel

DJ, producer, and Lumberjacks in Hell founder Marcel Vogel has spent over two decades shaping modern house and disco culture. Moving fluidly between Detroit house, classic R&B, raw disco and gospel, his sets and productions focus on the warm and rhythmic pulses of days gone by paired with genuine dancefloor energy.

​Through his imprints Lumberjacks in Hell and Intimate Friends, Marcel has built a dedicated home for groove-heavy edits and soulful house cuts that regularly sweep through international club circuits. Beyond running the label, producing and DJing, he regularly compiles exclusive cuts from his peers, as well as back catalogue favourites, with his The Sound of Lumberjacks in Hell album appearing on BBE in 2018. Since then, working extensively with studio partner Tim Jules, Lumberjacks has had a fresh lease of life as together, the pair have turned out remixes for acts like Phenomenal Handclap Band, Girls of the Internet, and Hans Nieswandt.
