John Simmons

With over fifteen years behind the decks, Chicago selector John Simmons carries the deep legacy of Midwestern house music. Coming of age in the city's early nineties rave and underground scene, his foundation was built on classic Chicago and New York radio broadcasts, refined through years of deep crate digging and dancefloor study.

A key member of the influential Soul Foundation collective, Simmons earned his stripes both on the decks and behind the counter at iconic local record shops Hot Jams and Supreme. From early international tours as a road manager to thousands of club sets across North America and abroad, his sets deliver pure, unadulterated house rhythm rooted in true Chicago culture.
